I'M JEFFREY BROWN
My journey with photography started more than a decade ago when my father passed on to me his collection of old lenses from the 70s and 80s -- lenses I STILL use in my work today.
With my color photography I try and capture that "beach trip" vibe - the happiness and wonderment we feel when we leave all of our worries, stress, and responsibilites behind to spend time near the ocean. I hope my photography reminds you of the smell of saltwater, the sand in your shoes, and the vibrant colors of those one-of-a-kind sunsets that only the beach can produce.
My black and white photography is a little more experimental by design. I love exploring negative space, stark contrast, natural lines, and minimalistic compositions. It provides me an opportunity to think outside of the box and discover unique perspectives that would otherwise go unnoticed; shrouded by the mundanity of life.
In 2018 when I was diagnosed with Clinical Depression, my creativity came roaring back into my life. Capturing the happiness and joy that this world has to offer became my therapy and sharing my perspective with all of you has, without question, saved my life. Truly.
Remember, if you need help, you can reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline by dialing 988 on any phone. Furthermore, if you would like to follow my personal journey with Clinical Depression and how it affects my creativity, you can check out my blog on this website or my YouTube Channel, "Creative Depression" for a more in-depth look into my creative process.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with TheArt Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
